The Lumber Exchange is being built as a place where businesses and community life come together to shape the future of Hayward. We are proud to announce the Hayward Area Chamber of Commerce as a First Light Partner, joining us in this vision from the very beginning.

As the voice of local business, the Chamber has long served as a trusted convener, connector, and advocate for the vitality of our community. Their role as a First Light Partner strengthens that work, ensuring that the opportunities created at The Lumber Exchange are shared widely across the local business community.

This partnership is built on collaboration. Through its established channels, the Chamber will promote Lumber Exchange membership opportunities to its members, opening the door to a new kind of workplace and community hub. In addition, when doors open in 2026, all Hayward Area Chamber members will receive a discount on their first year of membership at The Lumber Exchange.

The partnership is also a natural fit because the Chamber is our neighbor on Main Street, right across Highway 63. Being so close creates everyday opportunities to connect, share ideas, and work side by side to strengthen the center of Hayward.

The Chamber will help keep the business community connected to The Lumber Exchange story as it unfolds. By sharing opportunities and creating channels for communication, they will make sure their members are not only informed but invited to be part of building something new in the heart of Hayward. This spirit of connection will continue well beyond opening day, ensuring that local businesses remain a vital part of the life of The Lumber Exchange for years to come.

As a First Light Partner, the Chamber will be permanently recognized inside The Lumber Exchange and will join us at early hard-hat walkthroughs and VIP gatherings before the doors open in 2026. Their leadership highlights something we believe deeply: lasting progress happens when local vision is shared and amplified.

We are honored to begin this chapter alongside the Hayward Area Chamber of Commerce. Together we are shaping a space where local businesses and community life can grow stronger, more connected, and more resilient.

The future of Hayward is being built together.

Why Coworking Works

Work no longer fits neatly into one box. Neither does life. At the corner of Main and 63, both are coming together. The Lumber Exchange is being built for that harmony.
